BOO

I will have to say the video looks pretty good. Do you believe in ghosts?

Julian Banks of the British Paranormal Society said the film was “potentially the best image of a ghost in years”.

The schoolboy who filmed this mentioned he was curious on why his jigsaw puzzles were mysteriously completed every morning when he woke up.

Nude photo of Madonna sells for $37,500

Has this world gone MAD? Or is just this dumb ass?

Here we are in a financial crisis, and this dipshit is paying 37 grand for a nude photo of Madonna three hundred years ago when she was actually young. I have seen the pic, seeing how it is all over the net, and have seen better looking scabs on my knee. Too much hair in all the wrong places. Somebody should have clued in this person about the INTERNET and saved that money for therapy.

The photo shoot was done by Lee Friedlander in 1979. Madonna was paid 25 dollars for the shoot.

DAVID RULES!!!!!!!

Wakeem Phoenix has decided to ditch the acting career in order to pursue his musical career. And by musical career, I do mean Hip Hop. Don't get me wrong, I love Hip Hop, but on certain people should do it. Anyway, here is Wakeem with David Letterman. I actually thought it was funny trying to see David carry on the show without the participation of his guest. This was funny, but did not top Crispen Glover's appearance a few years back.

The chaps over at BBC News had this to say about it:
The barman is charged with having "fatally injured" the boy in his bar in February 2007. The barman has admitted responsibility, German media report.

The 28-year-old barman, identified only as Aytac G, allegedly had a drinking bet with the schoolboy, but poured mostly water for himself.

The boy fell into a coma with alcohol poisoning, and died four weeks later.

The case triggered outrage in Germany and a heated debate about binge drinking by teenagers.

Two men aged 18 and 21, who encouraged the 16-year-old to down the tequilas, were sentenced in November to complete a compulsory social training course.

Prosecutors accuse the barman of having also served alcohol illegally to youths on 173 occasions in 2005-2007.

UConnect got PAID by Facebook. $65 MILLION

I actually started to read this and got boring with some legal crap. Bottom line, Facebook paid out a nice chunk of change, and now some ex Harvard Law students are rich and ready to party.

InformationWeek had this to say about it:

The law firm for Harvard students who challenged Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and won, released the amount of the settlement. Terms had been ordered sealed.

There's more news this week about the money that is spun in Harvard dormitories by students with computer skills: The law firm representing the former Harvard students who sued Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly received $65 million to settle the litigation.

The law firm representing Facebook's challengers, Harvard students like Zuckerberg, reported in a newsletter that $65 million was paid out by Facebook, according to The Recorder, a legal publication.

More Internet Insights

The litigation was settled last summer with UConnect standing to receive an award of cash and Facebook stock, but the actual value of the deal was supposed to be confidential. Zuckerberg was challenged by the Winklevoss twins, Cameron and Tyler, and their partner Divya Narendra, who claimed they had enlisted Zuckerberg to work on their UConnect Harvard dating service. Zuckerberg and Facebook denied any wrongdoing and filed unfair business practices litigation against UConnect.

The Recorder said UConnect's former lawyers Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges published the settlement amount -- probably inadvertently. The law firm's newsletter trumpeted the victory stating "WON $65 million settlement against Facebook." The Recorder said firm chairman John Quinn asked it to not print the settlement award figure.

Legal bickering continued after UConnect dropped the Quinn Emanuel firm and the two parties have been fighting over fees. The Recorder said new attorneys for UConnect and other attorneys for Facebook have declined to comment on the latest developments.

A payment of $65 million isn't thought to be overly significant for Facebook. When Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) purchased a small minority stake in the social networking firm for $240 million in 2007, it established a $15 billion valuation for Facebook, according to investment banking sources at the time. While Facebook has prospered mightily since then, its market valuation is thought to have declined along with general economic conditions.

Several spectacularly successful Internet companies have had their starts in college dorms including Google and Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) -- both tracing their origins to Stanford University students. The biggest college dorm startup was carried out at Harvard several years ago by Microsoft's Bill Gates, who Forbes Magazine says is the richest man in the country.

Ticketmaster + Live Nation = Miserable times for concert goers.

REUTERS had this on it:

Live Nation to buy Ticketmaster, faces scrutiny

* Live Nation to pay $400 mln in stock for Ticketmaster

* New York senator slams deal before deal is announced

* Shares of both companies fall

(Adds details of deal, share fall, antitrust concerns)

By Yinka Adegoke

NEW YORK, Feb 10 (Reuters) - The world's largest concert promoter Live Nation Inc (LYV.N: Quote, Profile, Research) plans to buy Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc (TKTM.O: Quote, Profile, Research) for about $400 million in stock in a bid to create a company with dominant holdings in concert promotion and ticket sales.

But shares of both companies fell on Tuesday, amid concerns the acquisition would be blocked by U.S. antitrust regulators under the new Obama administration.

U.S. Senator Charles Schumer slammed the deal ahead of its formal announcement on Tuesday, calling for a federal probe into Ticketmaster, the top U.S. ticket vendor.

"This merger would give a giant, new entity unrivaled power over concert-goers and the prices they pay to see their favorite artists and bands," the Democrat senator from New York said in a statement.

Chinese police have to learn that not to confront angry guys who make their living by dancing as dragons.

Seriously not a smart move.....

Breitbart.com had this to say about it:

At least three police officers and 10 civilians were hurt in China in a riot sparked by dozens of traditional dragon dancers angered over being banned from performing, police and state media said Monday.

The disturbance occurred Sunday in rural Guizhou province in southwestern China after police banned the dance, part of traditional Lunar New Year celebrations, out of safety concerns, Xinhua news agency said.

The dancers then went to the local government headquarters in Dejiang county to stage a protest dance but were stopped by police. Clashes ensued that drew in crowds of more than 2,000 people, it said.

However, the Hong Kong-based Information Centre for Human Rights and Democracy quoted local sources saying the incident stirred up crowds of more than 10,000 people, some of whom joined the clashes against police.

The centre, which regularly issues reports on social disturbances in China, said at least 50 people were injured, and that two police cars and some property at government headquarters was smashed.

An official with Dejiang's Public Security Bureau reached by phone said the crowd numbered in the hundreds and that "some" policemen were injured, declining to give a figure.

"For public security, the dragon dance is forbidden in some areas this year. So the dragon dancers went to the county government asking for an explanation," said the official, who refused to give his name.

He added that dragon dancers in Dejiang traditionally wear fireworks on their costumes and consume alcohol, creating a risk to themselves and the public.

China sees thousands of cases of violent social unrest each year, typically as people lash out over illegal seizures of their land, environmental degradation, corruption or perceived police and government abuses.

Law enforcement sources tell us they typically book a suspect for the most serious crime they can be charged with -- it's then up to the D.A. to file any additional charges. Given there were allegedly visible injuries, the crime of making criminal threats is punishable by up to nine years in prison. Domestic abuse is four years.

Finally, America could get a Senator we can all get behind. And in front of. And doggy style. And that thing where she's hanging from a swing......

Porn star Stormy Daniels, who has no party affiliation, says she's "always up for a good fight."

Apparently Stormy Daniels is thinking of running for U.S. Senate for the state of Louisiana.

CNN.COM had this to say about it:

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CNN) -- Fans of porn star Stormy Daniels are drafting her to run for the U.S. Senate seat in Louisiana now held by Republican Sen. David Vitter. And it's no racy gimmick, they say.

Porn star Stormy Daniels, who has no party affiliation, says she's "always up for a good fight."

The Draft Stormy Web site says that "2010 presents the Pelican State with the opportunity to start with a clean slate -- to elect a representative that we can be proud of, who will work tirelessly, and who will challenge the status quo. We at the Draft Stormy campaign feel that Baton Rouge native Stormy Daniels is best suited to fulfill these duties."

Vitter is famous -- or infamous -- for his link to the "D.C. Madam," the woman who ran a prostitution ring. Elected to the Senate in 2004, he admitted to "a very serious sin in my past" in July 2007 after his phone number turned up in records of an escort service run by the late Deborah Jeane Palfrey, known as the D.C. Madam.

Running for re-election, Vitter said his wife has forgiven him and is banking on the same sentiment from his constituents. Will the Draft Stormy move mean stormy weather for Vitter?

The senator's office didn't return calls by CNN. But a spokesman for the state GOP said voters "are concerned with real issues that affect their everyday lives and not with political or publicity stunts."

The Draft Stormy campaign was started by New Orleans resident and Daniels fan Zack Hudson, who insists it's for real.

Daniels, 29, isn't affiliated with a party but is embracing the idea of a possible candidacy. Video Watch the adult entertainment star talk about a possible run »

She said she's planning a "listening tour" around Louisiana to talk about a range of matters, including the economy -- which along with women in business and protection of children are the three issues listed on her Web site. When told Vitter can be a tough opponent, she said she's "always up for a good fight."

"I think anyone that knows me ... is more than aware of that," Daniels said. "Politics can't be any dirtier of a job than the one I am already in."

According to a capsule bio on the Draft Stormy Web site, Daniels has been "breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings her entire life," serving as editor of her high school newspaper and president of her school's 4-H Club and eventually transferring "her determination and talents to the professional level, becoming a featured performer in the adult entertainment industry."

Another stride was "signing an exclusive contract with the video production company Wicked Pictures, a company committed to a health and safety first policy, as pertaining to its video performances. Stormy's decision to sign with Wicked highlighted her commitment to sending a positive message to young people of the importance of practicing safe sex," the bio said.

Daniels has directed films for the company, won awards for writing, directing and acting, and has appeared in mainstream films such as "The 40-Year-Old Virgin."

"Originally, the focus wasn't even about making me as a candidate," Daniels said. "I think it was about bringing attention to the Senate race in general. Then the response was overwhelmingly positive. And I think everyone is just running with it."

While her political aspirations may be a light diversion for Louisiana voters, reality will set in if Daniels tangles with Vitter. Clancy DuBos, political director of the New Orleans alternative newspaper Gambit, said Vitter is a brilliant politician with a campaign war chest worth $2 million.

If the Daniels campaign is meant to remind voters of Vitter's D.C. Madam link, the move could backfire, DuBos said.

"You are going to need someone better than a porn star, or a lap dancer, or a sex worker to nail David Vitter on this," he said. "You need a serious opponent who is himself, or herself, not guilty of something like that to say, 'Let's talk about family values, shall we?' "

he Draft Stormy movement said Daniels' "real world experience and special understanding of the economic hardships facing Louisianans and Americans make her uniquely qualified to take on the tough challenges we face.
"Our grass-roots movement spans the political spectrum and champions Stormy's philosophy of personal responsibility and the promotion of individual enterprise. We eschew partisanship and labels, instead judging our leaders on their integrity, character and effectiveness."
